P Zero tires are Max Performance Summer tires derived from 100 years of Pirelli motorsport experience and developed for the drivers of powerful sports cars, sports coupes and high performance luxury sedans. Initially introduced as Original Equipment on the Aston Martin DB9, Audi R8, Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Lamborghini Murcielago, Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT and Mercedes-Benz AMG vehicles, the P Zero lineup also includes select replacement tire sizes. Pirelli's warranty does not cover tires that develop compound cracking due to use in ambient temperatures below 45° Fahrenheit (7° Celsius), so the P Zero, like all summer tires, is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
P Zero tires feature a special silica and carbon black tread compound that proves competent during the first few miles of driving when the tire is still cold, as well as consistent performance throughout the tire's life. The tread compound is molded into Pirelli's S-treme asymmetric design in which the location and width of the circumferential and lateral grooves minimize deformation to blend responsive handling, hydroplaning resistance and wet traction with dry road performance, even wear and acoustic comfort. Special nano-composites in the compound beneath the tread protect the casing from deterioration and merge sport handling with ride comfort. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by polyamide cord plies and an integration of nylon and aramid cord that controls tire profile deformation and stabilizes the tread area to enhance high-speed capability and handling.
Limited sizes of the P Zero are available with Pirelli Noise Cancelling System, which involves the manufacturer adhering a layer of sound-absorbing foam to the inner liner of the tire to reduce cabin noise in the vehicle. These sizes are identified on the Specs page and in the search results.

Clash of the Titans: Testing Two New Max Performance Summer Heavy Hitters (03:38)
Recently, two titans in the tire world launched new Max Performance Summer tires: Bridgestone and their Potenza S-04 Pole Position and Michelin with the Pilot Super Sport. Both are long-awaited replacements for very capable and popular products from each brand.
How do they compare to the other heavy hitters in the category?
Owners report excellent dry traction and confident off-road performance, with many ratings in the 9-10 range highlighting strong grip and stability on rugged terrain. Wet traction also earns high marks, with most scores between 8-10 and minimal hydroplaning concerns. Winter traction is generally praised for deep snow and slush performance, though ice traction shows more variability, with some scores dipping to 1-2. Comfort receives mostly 7-10 ratings, with many praising ride smoothness but a few noting occasional road noise. Treadwear scores cluster around 8-10, suggesting durable tread life for an all-terrain tire. While a small number of users report lower ice traction or noise levels, overall satisfaction leans strongly positive for its intended off-road use.

I have had these LT tires on my truck for about a year and have driven through heavy rain at high speed on the interstate, sugar sand on the beach, and 12+ inches of snow. They have performed flawlessly. I was concerned when I purchased them as they were a new product release and had zero reviews online. Rest assured this tire is the epitome of an all terrain all season tire. I give this tire my strongest recommendation. The Light Truck version of this tire has a stiffer sidewall resulting in a slightly rougher ride than non LT tires, which is why I rated the comfort an 8.

...Snow, ice, and mud on a trail is nothing but I tend to slow down when there's rain on tarmac...
I drive a lot of long highway miles and almost the same amount of unmaintained trails and logging/fire/forest roads. My job constantly requires me to get to very remote places in Colorado and Utah. I never tow but I do load up the truck bed with a good amount of gear and heavy equipment, along with running a topper.
These tires are very well rounded for everything off the highway (except hardcore rock-crawling) and are still great on the road. They wear very well and I haven't even had to rotate them.
I'd say that every individual situation (mud, ice, sand, rocks, etc) has a better tire specifically made for it, for a comparable price, but if you go everywhere and get out in all seasons/weather, I confidently back that these tires will get you there. Although, I do think their weakness is a wet highway. Snow, ice, and mud on a trail is nothing but I tend to slow down when there's rain on tarmac.
They aren't over prices and I have yet to have one fail. I ran both Firestone and Cooper A/T options before and was never happy. My TrailRunners have done well on: Mojave Road, Ouray/Silverton Trail, Moab, and many other trails, along with the daily rough routes for work in CO and UT.

I got stuck and put it in 4 wheel drive and climed right up a wall of ice and a foot of snow. Never had a problem in snow mud or anything just claws through everything. I bought my truck, with these tires already installed. I've driven them 6 months, from highway, rocky mountains, dirt road and now their seeing their first real winter. These tires are insane. I live in Vermont, our dirt roads get some serious snow. Ice, no tires I've own has liked it. But these tires just eat right through it. I am seriously impressed. I am definitely buying these again

...This tire Drives outstanding for an all terrain tire and is much better than the Bridgestone duelhers they replaced... I took my jeep up to 90 and it drove smooth and steady at all ranges...
I purchased the 265 75 16 standard load version for my Jeep. This tire Drives outstanding for an all terrain tire and is much better than the Bridgestone duelhers they replaced. I had them road force balanced In light of some of the reviews stating that they experienced some vibration at high speed. I took my jeep up to 90 and it drove smooth and steady at all ranges. Off road on lightly muddy trails of loose dirt and grass, it showed considerable improvement in handling and traction over the prior tires. This was very impressive even though about 90% of my use will be highway. Overall, really glad I went with these. Great tire at a great price.

I originally chose this tire because of price but would gladly choose it again because of the performance. I have had zero issues in winter driving and their performance on dry pavement is even better. If available I plan on buying this tire again when this set runs out which doesn't seem to be in the near future!

...Has plenty of grip on and off road... I felt that the car was even faster or grip in such a way it projected the vehicle where it was more confident and handled much better. The steering response is top notch...
What a fantastic tire! Does amazing in all conditions, Has plenty of grip on and off road. I felt that the car was even faster or grip in such a way it projected the vehicle where it was more confident and handled much better. The steering response is top notch. Switching lanes at HWY speeds feels like a car. I can fly around corners wet or dry. Dry cornering is surprisingly impressive! I can take corners in these tires the same speeds I have in my 18 Legacy 75-85mph, in a 45-55mph no problem. It grips and rips, Handles and responds so much better than expected. I've driven in deep nasty wet spring snow and it did great! Light snow you can drive how ever you you want. Desert snow in Bend Oregon was really fun! It Brakes fast and stops quickly. It doesn't studder/skip when braking hard. Off- Roading they do a great job, light mud great, steep hills great! The current wear has been nothing. It still looks new even with 18,000 miles on them! I'd recommend this tire or the Good Year Road Warrior with the 3 Peak Symbol.

Very good tire no matter the season or weather. Zero noise after the first 100 miles or so and they provide a smooth comfortable ride. Only issue is the handling on gravel.

These are my oem tires. They are smooth riders an quiet. They have never been a problem, even pulling my 5th wheel rv. I rotate them at every 5,000 mile oil change. I only pull the rv a few times a summer but these tires seem to wear a little faster than I expected. They probably have 12,000 miles left in them. I’ll need to change them out before the snow flys though. I would still recommend them and consider them for my next purchase.

I bought this truck used and these were the tires that were on it. They were close to brand new. I’ve put over 56,000 miles and still have maybe 15,000 miles left on the tread. I love this tires. I think it helps that I don’t haul much just people. The truck is not heavy only about 3,900 lbs. I haven’t had any problems with winter driving. Traction is good even throughout this second winter with them. I keep them at 44 psi.

54,000 miles on a Ram 2500 Cummins. Truck weighs 8,500 with gear and these tires last well, still have 5/32nds tread. I do rotate every 7500 miles, and and I keep them at 76psi front and 68 rear. That seems to help better wear. I pull a 14,500lb 5th wheel all over the country and occasionally a boat that on the trailer weighs 12,800. I really like these tires. In Alaska I was surprised at how really versitile they were. I just ordered a second set. Make sure you ask for the 5 lug version because that's the only one that's 3 leak mountain and snowflake certified. Tire rack seems to want to sell the other ones that's 4 lugs and they're not certified.

...On dirt roads with rocks, gravel, etc... these tires seem to do just fine. They are not getting cut up...
I have the LT 265/75r16 "E" rated tire Goodyear Wrangler Trailrunner ATs on a 2016 MB Sprinter 4x4 van that is set up as a ski van and camper -- definitely not a pimped-out RV-type camper van. We spend a lot of time at ski areas - 40 days this winter - plus have a cabin in the mountains where we get a few feet of snow a year. Home is Seattle, where we had one of our "snowmagedon" events this year - that was a good test too. And we also do a lot of dirt and gravel roads to access the back country for hiking and camping. And of course we do a lot of highway miles getting to where we are going. I usually buy Michelin tires - these are my first Goodyears. I am pretty darn happy.
This tire is working for us. It's good on the highway, pretty darn quiet, good gas mileage and handles very well on this van. They do great in the wet . In snow and ice it's OK -- I didn't expect fantastic and didn't get fantastic. But it's better than any all-season tires I've had in the snow and with the 3-mountain snowflake I don't need to put chains on (I have them, of course) if the state patrol is requiring them for cars with only all-seasons. The Nokian WRG4s -- another all-year tire sort-of-snow -- that are on my wife's Subaru are definitely better than these. But they are not available in an E rated tire and these are fine if you're not driving like a nut. On dirt roads with rocks, gravel, etc... these tires seem to do just fine. They are not getting cut up.
Given all the trade-offs there are to be made with tires, I'd say these are a pretty good compromise tire for this big rig and for someone like me who doesn't feel like dealing with dedicated snow tires anymore. I did that for a while - and I'm done with it....
