P Zero tires are Max Performance Summer tires derived from 100 years of Pirelli motorsport experience and developed for the drivers of powerful sports cars, sports coupes and high performance luxury sedans. Initially introduced as Original Equipment on the Aston Martin DB9, Audi R8, Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano, Lamborghini Murcielago, Maserati Quattroporte Sport GT and Mercedes-Benz AMG vehicles, the P Zero lineup also includes select replacement tire sizes. Pirelli's warranty does not cover tires that develop compound cracking due to use in ambient temperatures below 45° Fahrenheit (7° Celsius), so the P Zero, like all summer tires, is not intended to be driven in near-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.
P Zero tires feature a special silica and carbon black tread compound that proves competent during the first few miles of driving when the tire is still cold, as well as consistent performance throughout the tire's life. The tread compound is molded into Pirelli's S-treme asymmetric design in which the location and width of the circumferential and lateral grooves minimize deformation to blend responsive handling, hydroplaning resistance and wet traction with dry road performance, even wear and acoustic comfort. Special nano-composites in the compound beneath the tread protect the casing from deterioration and merge sport handling with ride comfort. The tire's internal structure includes twin steel belts reinforced by polyamide cord plies and an integration of nylon and aramid cord that controls tire profile deformation and stabilizes the tread area to enhance high-speed capability and handling.
Limited sizes of the P Zero are available with Pirelli Noise Cancelling System, which involves the manufacturer adhering a layer of sound-absorbing foam to the inner liner of the tire to reduce cabin noise in the vehicle. These sizes are identified on the Specs page and in the search results.

Clash of the Titans: Testing Two New Max Performance Summer Heavy Hitters(03:38)
Recently, two titans in the tire world launched new Max Performance Summer tires: Bridgestone and their Potenza S-04 Pole Position and Michelin with the Pilot Super Sport. Both are long-awaited replacements for very capable and popular products from each brand.
How do they compare to the other heavy hitters in the category?
Feedback patterns show the Michelin Primacy A/S excels in dry traction (9-10 scores dominate) with precise steering and stable cornering, earning praise for confident handling. Wet traction and hydroplaning resistance are strong (8-10 averages), while winter performance impresses in snow, though ice traction shows occasional 5-7 scores. Treadwear receives widespread praise (many 9-10s) with a few outliers noting lower longevity. Comfort stands out with smooth ride quality and minimal noise (8-10s), aligning well with its touring focus. As an all-season tire, it delivers balanced year-round capability, with most customers highlighting reliability for daily driving and highway use.

Excellent tire. Very smooth and quiet, great wet traction especially compared to the OEM Bridgestones. Makes our Enclave extremely sure footed. Only complaint is tread life for price. I drive mainly highway, 100 mile round trip 6 days a week. I have 45,000 mile on the set and they are at 1/32" so time for a new set, always rotated and kept properly inflated.

New car, oem tire. Purchased in Michigan, drove 4 hours through a rainstorm home northwest of Chicago. Did absolutely great. I'm shocked. Oem tires are usually terrible in my experience. Even at 85mph no issues with hydroplaning. All that remains to be seen is snow and Treadwell. Will update at 5k miles.

...In wet conditions tire was reliable at higher speeds (~80-100 MPH) with no concerns of hydroplaning. Cornering did make the tires chirp audibly in the cabin with some mild understeer (>35 MPH)...
Came as OEM on my vehicle. Held up for the past 3 Wisconsin winters pretty well considering average of ~3in of snow.
Most of the issues I faced was in deep snow (3+ in) where the tires would partially hold traction leading to some wider than anticipated turns when going about 10-15 MPH.
Tire performance was definitely best in dry conditions as I was able to avoid a collision while in a traffic circle by moving towards the inner lane with no loss traction (~35 MPH) at all.
In wet conditions tire was reliable at higher speeds (~80-100 MPH) with no concerns of hydroplaning. Cornering did make the tires chirp audibly in the cabin with some mild understeer (>35 MPH).
With all of the above considered, my biggest gripe was the tread wear. At ~3/32 after 30k miles.

These came as the OEM tires on my 23 Corolla SE. I did put Eibach lowering springs on the vehicle which lowered the vehicle 2 inches.
This is my daily vehicle and my first Wisconsin winter with this set up was surprising. I usually run snow tires but being that these tires were pretty much brand new I figured I’d give them a shot at winter.
They handled the snow and wet roads way better than expected, pleasantly surprised by their performance!! I do drive in all weather conditions for work daily so I’m a pretty confident driver and these tires give me the confidence I’m looking for.
Time will tell though, as I’ve only got about 17k on them.

...The winter months are fast approaching for the Chicago area, but I am comfortable that these tires will manage these conditions well.
Majority of my driving is in the city where constant stops, maneuvering, and immediate acceleration really work the tires and vehicle. I am pleased on how the new tires are managing these conditions. The winter months are fast approaching for the Chicago area, but I am comfortable that these tires will manage these conditions well.

These are OEM. The tire is very quiet and comfortable. Wet cornering and traction seems fine, but definitely not excellent. Most of my experience with pushing this tire in the turns is on sey roads. The tire is slow to respond off center, and then grips OK after that subtle delay. The car feels as though it wants a tire that responds more quickly and surely to steering inputs. Better overall cornering grip would be very welcomed. My next tire will be an ultra high performance all season.

I'm not sure why there are so many bad reviews for treadwear life. I got 77,000 miles out of mine! Granted, that was mostly highway driving, and I am now a bit below the wear bars, but 77,000 miles is fantastic. And I sometimes do some spirited driving in the NC mountains, so it's not all highway miles. They are very expensive, so I haven't decided yet if I will buy them again or not.
